Lance serves as director of innovation with Schell Brothers, a leading single-family production homebuilder in Rehoboth Beach, DE. With more than 17 years of experience at Schell Brothers, Lance has held various positions, including project manager and head of the custom home division. Prior to joining Schell, he worked as a mechanical design engineer in the defense industry.

In 2016, Lance championed a strategic investment in software development to streamline the company’s operations and enhance the customer experience. He played a pivotal role in creating an in-house Innovation team focused on software development and engineering R&D. Currently, the team is developing a second-generation construction platform that will serve as an all-in-one solution to address the current fragmentation in the homebuilding industry.
