For those of you who know him, Michael may be “retired” but he hasn’t stopped contributing to the industry and is still an active vice chairman and guiding voice behind the Housing Innovation Alliance (the Alliance).
A recognized visionary in the building industry, Michael’s focus was most recently on IBACOS’ expansion into overseas markets, particularly the Middle East, and on evolving the company’s PERFORM solution for production homebuilders.
Michael led IBACOS’ U.S. business development efforts and founded two of the company’s largest initiatives: BuildIQ, the building industry’s first online education system for production homebuilders, and the Alliance.
Michael is one of the core group of industry experts who played a pioneering role in the creation of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Building America program. Prior to co-founding IBACOS in 1991, he directed GE’s Living Environments program, which focused on innovative approaches to building homes using new materials and technologies.
Nowadays, Michael is spending a lot of QT with his wife Andrea and his growing family.
